####

### **The right charging setup depends on your model. Choose your model below to find the cable, power source and charging port you need.**

_Always use plugs from reputable brands & the supplied Yoto USB-C to USB-C charging cable so your Yoto can control the USB-C power source._

_**The two exceptions:** Yoto Player (2nd Generation) charges only on its proprietary magnetic dock.Yoto Player (3rd and 4th Generation) has USB-C charging capability and can also charge wirelessly on a Yoto dock, which is sold separately._

### **Charge with the cable**

* **What you need:** the green, Yoto-branded USB-C to USB-C cable supplied in the box and a good-quality USB power plug from a reputable retailer.
* **Charging port:** on the left-hand side of Yoto Player or Yoto Mini, below the headphone socket.

Yoto Mini (4th Generation)

**1**

**Connect the cable.** Push the USB-C connector into your Yoto’s charging port.

**2**

**Connect the plug.** Plug the other end into your USB-C power plug, then connect it to the mains.

**3**

**Choose at least 5W.** A higher-rated plug is fine because your Yoto only draws the power it needs.

**_Using a USB-A plug?_** _A USB-A to USB-C cable works too, but it is not supplied in the box. We recommend USB-C to USB-C so your Yoto can control the USB-C power source. Charging speed depends on the cable and power source you use._

Place Yoto Player (4th Generation) on a compatible Yoto Wireless Charging Dock, sold separately. The magnets guide it into position. Both the green fourth-generation dock and the grey third-generation dock are compatible. Wireless charging uses the Qi Baseline Power Profile (BPP) at 5W.

* Yoto Mini (4th Generation) does not support wireless charging.

* Charging time varies with the power plug, cable or wireless charging dock you use.

* Note that both the previous grey (3rd Gen) and the new green (4th Gen) Wireless Charging Docks are interchangeable, as are Yoto headphones.

## **Earlier Yoto Mini models (2024 and 2021-2023 Editions)**

_Yoto Player (3rd Generation) charges through the USB-C port on the right-hand side, just below the power button. It can also charge wirelessly._

* Charging time will vary depending on the charging adaptor or wireless charger you use.

## **Yoto Player (2nd Generation)**

_Yoto Player (2nd Generation) charges only on its original magnetic charging dock, sold between February 2020 and June 2025. It cannot be charged by USB-C or on another type of charging dock._

**1**

**Remove the shipping label.** Before first use, peel the paper label off the charging puck.

**2**

**Position the Player.** Place it on top of the original magnetic charging dock. It should snap into place.

**3**

**Check the battery level.** Switch the Player on and leave it on the dock for at least 30 seconds to see the battery level indicator.

**Lost or broken dock?** Contact our Customer Happiness team before buying a replacement. We cannot check or guarantee the quality or safety of third-party or second-hand charging docks.

## **If your Yoto will not charge**

* Check that the power plug works with another device.

* If you are charging by cable, make sure both connectors are fully inserted. Try another compatible cable if you have one.

* If you are charging on a dock, remove anything between the Player and the dock.

* Do not use a damaged cable, plug, charging port or dock.

* Still stuck? Contact our Customer Happiness [team](http://team.we). We’ll be happy to help.
