# How to create a playlist from your own recordings > Use the recording feature in the Yoto app to record stories songs jokes whatever you feel like and then create a playlist to link to a Make Your Own card Source: https://support.yotoplay.com/en_gb/how-to-create-a-playlist-from-your-own-recordings-B1piuFiXGl Last updated: 2026-07-20T08:59:37.189Z #### Use the recording feature in the Yoto app to record stories, songs, jokes - whatever you feel like - and then create a playlist to link to a Make Your Own card. **Record your own audio** You can make simple recordings within the Yoto App. 1) Go to the Create tab and select the 'My recordings' button at the bottom of the page. ![Yoto app - My recordings](https://attachments.gorgias.help/Aa90l7EQnv7JWorj/hc/9JWjXVxGb7DvMqmO/2024091015-4a9fbd29-643d-41ba-bc8e-13c69d91018c-createmyrecordings@2x-min.png) 2) Press the large red record button at the bottom of your screen. Take your card out of the player and reinsert it to play your new playlist!
