Headphone port troubleshootingUpdated 6 days ago
If you're having trouble with your Yoto Player's headphone port, please follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Step 1. Perform a Hard Reset
As a first step, we recommend performing a hard reset of the Yoto Player. To do this:
- Hold down the power button (on the right-hand side of the Yoto Player) for at least 10 seconds or until it restarts.
Note: Performing a hard reset cuts the power to the Yoto brain and helps it recover. You won't lose any content or Wi-Fi connection.
Step 2. Check the headphone port
Sometimes, unplugging and re-plugging the headphones can help reset the detect pin inside the audio jack. Please try the following:
- Unplug your headphones and plug them back in a few times.
- Ensure the headphone plug is fully inserted into the port.
Step 3. Disable the Headphone Volume Limiter
Yoto Players have a 'Headphone Volume Limit' feature that can sometimes affect the audio output to headphones, so disabling this could help fix the issue. To disable it:
- Open the Yoto App.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Select the affected Yoto Player.
- Scroll down to find the Headphone Volume Limit option and disable it.
If the above steps didn't resolve the issue, please get in touch for further assistance. We'll be more than happy to help!
