How long does the battery take to charge?Updated 5 months ago

How long does a full charge take?

Yoto player (2nd Generation) should take about 5 hours to fully charge the built-in battery from fully depleted. It does not take any more or less time if you also play audio at the same time as charging.

Yoto Mini should take about 3.5 hours to fully charge the built-in battery from fully depleted. Playing audio at the same time as charging will slow down the charging process, which will take about 4.5 hours.

Yoto player (3rd Generation) has a bigger battery than the Yoto Player 2nd Generation and uses the latest charging technologies. It can be charged using different sources, resulting in a range of charge times:

USB-C

  • Standard phone or tablet charger takes between 4.5 to 6.5 hours to fully charge.
  • Quick Charge (QC) or Power Delivery (PD) fast charger takes 1 hour 45 minutes to 80% charge and 3 hours 30 minutes to fully charge.

USB-C Smart Cable (should only be used Yoto Minis manufactured between 2021 and 2023)

  • Mini smart cable charge time between 2-3 hours depending on USB Port current

Wireless

  •  Wireless charger takes 6 hours to 80% charge and 8 hours to fully charge.
