Card reading issuesUpdated 5 hours ago

If your Yoto player isn’t reading a Yoto card properly, here are a few quick things to try first.

These simple steps can often solve the problem:

  • Restart your Yoto player
  • Remove the card and reinsert it fully
  • Try a different card—if the Yoto player reacts the same way, this could help us understand if there is an issue with the player or the card
  • Make sure your player is connected to Wi-Fi
  • If there is a blue cloud on the Yoto player's display, this means that the player is working on streaming or downloading content
  • Give it a moment—some cards may take a little longer to load if you’re playing them for the first time, or after an update

Test the Yoto card on your smartphone or another Yoto player (if available)

If you have access to another Yoto Player or Mini, try the card there. This helps determine whether the issue is with the card or the device.

You can also try tapping the Yoto Card to the back of your phone. Your phone should pick up the card as long as you have NFC enabled.

Still not working?

If none of the above helps, please contact us and let us know:

  • The title or a picture of the Yoto card

  • A quick video of the problem at hand: it would be helpful for us to see the Yoto Card inserted/reinserted a couple of times

  • A delivery address: in case we need to send you a replacement Yoto card, your delivery address will be handy to speed up the replacement process

We’ll look into it and get things sorted for you!
